Recently one of my very best friends got set up on Facebook and is having a blast. She nagged and nagged me to get set up too and I finally caved. And it is WAY fun! A TON of my old seminary students are now my friends and I have gotten caught up on what they are doing in their lives. I LOVE IT!
But now here's my dilemma~~~~Do I blog or do I Facebook?
I work 9 hours a day and my commute is 45 minutes each way so I am gone from home 10 1/2 hours a day and I don't have time to do both! Waaaaaaaahhhhh! (Debbie is being tempted to buy a DAILY lottery ticket so she won't have to work! Yeah THAT'S the answer!!)
So I am going underground for a while and will be playing on Facebook to see which I'd rather do.
Do Ya'll do both? Facebook AND blog??

Let me know
Yep I do both. It's my ritual during Kody's naptime, check e-mail, check facebook, blog. Sometimes there isn't much going on so it's quick to do both. Let me know what you decide. I'll be able to check in with you either way! Love ya!
I do both--but Facebok is mainly just to see what my kids are up to but a few old friends have found me and that is fun too. I prefer blogging--can't say exactly why--but I know A LOT of people who heart Facebook. Wow--could I be more vague??!! Anyways--I can't handle you being underground for too long---let me know where you end up--please--(she said pitifully)
OH!! AND!!! GUESS WHAT I GOT IN THE MAIL?!!!! MY BOOK!!! It is so awesome--thanx again--you and your daughter rock! I love the book's dedication. YEAH ME!
NO WAY!!!! Dang... let me know which you like better!!!
PS I love the pic of your home!!!
I do both, but I sorta just let people find me on Facebook. And I figure, once everybody has found each other, things will slow down.
I love to write, so if I had to pick, it would be blogging. Plus, I linked my blog up so my blog posts show on my Facebook profile.
I do both but I don't spend more than 20 minutes (if that) a day on Facebook. I don't get into the sending of items etc. Just find and check in with people and occasionally update my status. Keep it simple.
If I want to reconnect more with someone, I'll send them a link to my blog or go see their blogs. Blogs are better places to convey information I think but Facebook is a better way to find old friends.
I do both but... not very often. I probably jump on facebook everyday but -- I only blog once or twice a week.
But, facebook is cooler. :)
I was on facebook till I started blogging. They just have different perks. You can't say stuff on facebook like you can on your blog. And you can't find people blogging like you can on facebook. I've started "facing" more lately, but I do prefer blogging. Look me up! I'm friends with motherboard and sherrie and jan and some others.....love your header pic, too!
I do facebook as well. I like it, but don't spend a whole lot of time on it.
Facebook is way less time consuming than bloggig but I enjoy blogging more. I have only found 2 people from my past on it.
Let us know how it goes. It is fun for those in my family that don't blog. I love seeing their pictures alot. Good luck.
I also have a Facebook page, but that thing confuses me. I don't get on very much. But I have had a couple of longtime friends find me there.
I like reading the blogs.
What ta do, what ta do???
Good luck!
I don't know much about face book. I have an account and have had messages that someone wrote something on my wall.
I have a wall? And now it is written all over. Do I need to paint it now. Help. I am not getting facebook. m
Look me up on Facebook! I belong there too! I enjoy both. The blog is the things of my soul. Facebook is my way of connecting. Have fun!
Hahaha I know your dilemma, Deb. I'm always doing one more than the other :)
I DO BOTH. And I still like blogging better, and spend more time. Facebook is like a glorifed email to me.
That and a way to see how much weight your old high school boyfriends have gained over the years.
I toom do both. I LOVE that I have made contact with so many people from so long ago. Even some of my 1st seminary students from 17years ago! I'm better at facebook than blogging, for sure!
Hi! I love your blog sooooo please don't stop! I just recently started on facebook as well and it is addicting, BUT...blogging is more worthwhile...
Both. It's totally worth it. Just blog when Facebook can't satisfy!
Facebook took over for me a month ago, and may be my future... This is the first time I've even checked into blogs in awhile... Are you going to Utah? we are, too! Leaving Sunday--will be there for a week. Hoping to hook up wiht the Macs. What's your plan??
ok.
Facebook is EASIER once you get the hang of it.... it is LOW MAINTANANCE... like seriously.
but i have both... but i think i am on my facebook more.
and
you better add me to your Facebook's friends list!!!!
just type in merrianne pruett call in the Facebook's search Engine and i should be the only one to pop up & then ADD ME ♥
I do both, but I am very rarely on facebook. Before I started blogging I was ALWAYS on it, but now I only go on when people have requested that I add them. But every time I'm on I remember how nice it is to keep up with people that way.
I can't wait to hear what you decide
You'll have fun no matter what you decide!
Hope you have a beautiful weekend! ♥ Hugs :)
Ok when when you said one of my "best friends" nagged you to get on facebook, you were referring to ME!!!! LOL!!!!
do both of course! Try having a myspace too! Gee good thing I don't have much of a life and I can do all 3. Get an iPhone like me and you can go on them from your phone. It's great.
On the blog write stories and facebook just write short comments. That's what I do. Love you!
Brynne
i just recently got on face book. i had an account for a year maybe, but up until a few months ago./ I have really enjoyed it. it is quick fast and easy. I liked catching up with old friends from years ago and with HS and college friends. It is a quick way to look at everyone's pictures and families. Blogging takes lots of time because you read what people post.
Blogging is journaling, and FB is just staying in touch.
Shamelessly addicted to both! I am trying to get a lot done on both before this baby comes because I KNOW it will slow down. Better practice my one-handed skills with a squirmy little one! SO GLAD you do both- keep it up, it is SO GREAT to keep in touch with you!
i do both, but i really like FB because it is quick and easy and that fits my schedule! it is easy to pop in on people and leave them a quick comment. Blogging requires a lot of reading espeically if they are long like mine.
But, I blog for my children and for the book I publish each year. we have cherished them!
I do Facebook, Twitter and blogging. All go together but I have more followers on Twitter and Facebook than the actual blog and most of them don't go to the blog so I have to shorten the blog up for both versions. If I just relied on the blog itself I would hardly have any readers. Not sure if this is a good thing or bad.
