Rewinding my life.....

Blogging has been somewhat difficult the past 6 weeks or so. Thanksgiving hit with a bang and then I was off for a week to San Diego for a conference for my school district. And then Christmas! So I am going to rewind my life back to Thanksgiving and blog from there! Here goes:

We drove to Utah for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful dinner in Orem with my in-laws. Scored some major good deals during shopping the day after Thanksgiving up in Park City.

AND THEN......it was time to meet some of my favorite blogging gals! These ladies were even more amazing in person! They are much more beautiful than their picture and we had the BEST time! What a treat it was to meet them.

Here we are ~ Binders, Pam (comcewen's), Me with the VERY fashionable reading glasses hanging down my front, Jeni (Tink) and Jodi (Redhoodos)

Lovely, lovely ladies!!!

Then it was time to head home and for an unexpected little adventure! There is a restaurant that we pass everytime we go and come from Utah. We always joke about it but this time we decided to stop! The restaurant is Peggy Sue's 50's Diner and what a hoot it was!

I didn't have my camera so I had to take pictures with my cell phone but here is Peggy Sue's

And here is a picture of the talented painting inside the women's bathroom

Peggy Sue's is off the 15 fwy in the middle of nowhere. What does the middle of nowhere look like you ask? I know the picture is small, but this is what the middle of nowhere looks like:

The food was appropriately greasy and they actually had one of the best malts that I have had in a while. I LOVE malts much more than shakes! So, it was a fun diversion and we made it home safe and sound.
Coming up in the next post - Christmas, Amish Country and Colonial Williamsburg!

Looks like a fabulous Thanksgiving! I'm so jealous that you were in Park City. We used to live there and I loved it.

Debbie, that's AWESOME that you love scrabble! It is the best game in the world! Sounds like you had fun during the holidays too! Glad to hear it :)
I am trying to get my work published. I had it in a different draft a year or so ago that I sent to several publishers and an agent, but nothing really panned out. I re-wrote most of it and like the new draft much better. I'll probably start trying to get it published when I get home from the mission!

PS-Was the food at Peggy Sue's good? I've always wondered about that place when I drive by! Also, I laughed about what you said about Ginerva! I read somewhere that that's Ginny's full name (being the major Potter geek that I am) and I happened to have all the letters for it!

Welcome back! how fun to meet some friends!

That restaraunt sounds cool. We always stop at this little hole in the wall that's on our way to a town we visit every year or so. BEST FOOD EVER and it's always packed. sometimes you find good stuff in the oddest places!

And I'm with you-malts trump shakes any day of the week!

It was soooo great meeting you!! You are more charming in person than you are on your blog and that's saying alot.

I LOVE what you wrote on my dad's blog. He is just a lovable character and if he knew how to comment - he'd be over to your blog, for sure!

Happy New Year.

How fun that you met bloggy people in person on your trip!

Peggy Sue's sounds like a quaint and interesting place. Unfortunately we go on I-80 not I-15 to and from Utah. Detour!
