How cool are you?

My coolishness factor is dropping at an alarming rate. When I go blog stalking I see blogs that are so cool. Their pictures are so cool. Their posts are SO COOL. I visited Beeswax's blog and you should see how cool she looks in her cool jeans. She's having a giveaway for a free cool Coach (nastily rumored as a knock-off) purse. I'm hoping that I win. That will make me look so much cooler. I need some coolish help.

A while back, my daughters told me that I had 80's hair and that I needed a haircut makeover so that I could look like a mom in the 2000 decade. See what I mean?

When did this happen? When did my coolioness disappear? Did it slowly evaporate when I wasn't looking? Or did I wake up one morning only to find that because I had neglected my coolishness that it cruelly disappeared?

Is it too late for me? Am I doomed to be uncool for the rest of my middle-aged years? Is there any hope? Who is the coolest person that you know? Wait...I don't have the time to read who would be on the top ten list of the most coolest people....I have to go cut my hair

You are way cool. I remember you in that amazing yellow outfit with those amazing cool eyes. Menopause is not cool. It's hot flashes and sweats. So, we are cool in so many other ways. We know that we don't have to act cool to be cool. Now that's cool.

Cool is a state of mind not a hair cut or pair of jeans. You are cool from your confidence and solid knowledge of who you are and where you are going and how you are going to get there.

You are cool. I have never met you, but I can tell. If you want a hair cut, for for it, but know that it is the calm in your eyes and the peace in your heart that creates your coolness. m

PS Do I sound like that Dr. Phil? Sorry.

Cool? The only cool I have going on is my air conditioner in my room at night to settle down my night sweats! I really am a big dork and I am okay with that. My kids think it's cool that I am dorky... And yes, I have had the same hair style for 20 years. I did cut it once right before my first grandchild was born-but grew it back to the old style RIGHT away.

Hope you love your haircut!
Robin~♥
P.S. I don't know you personally but from the moment I came to your blog I thought you were cool. :)
Does that mean anything to you being it's coming from me, miss dorky? :)

I think you are still cool! And hey the 80s always come back in so leave the hair...you'll just be ahead of everyone. LOL Or did you already cut it? If so I'm sure it looks great!
I remember back in the day when my mom had total 80s hair (yours is actually cute, Vicki's wasn't LOL) and all of us kids loved it. When we were in the mall we'd just look for the hair and we'd be able to find our mom. It was great! Dad had the height and mom had the hair!

I think you're cool. But since I'm not cool, that might be a bad sign.

A new hair cut will be cool. We want pics!

What's not cool about the 80's? I love to hairspray at my hair at temples and blow dry it out like wings. It makes my round face look thinner.
Then I listen to Milli Vanilli and watch Thriller, the long version.
After that I jam out to Journey wearing my favorite swapmeet purchase (once size fits all muscle man pants). Maybe you are still cool and those around you have lost their "coolioness" and you are just too nice to tell them.

OH, BROTHER. I think you are the first person to EVER call me cool. I only have cool new jeans. I am SO nerdy, but in a fun way that I have finally embraced.

I liked the 80's, too. Stay the course!

You are the original "cool" woman!! 80's hair is the best--at least you don't have 80's bangs. My 2 older girls love to get out their childhood pictures and moan and groan and say, "What were you thinking?!" From the moment they had bangs they were teased and starched and poofed. So ungrateful they are. I have never met you but I love your writing style and the things that you find funny and spiritual. I guess we could always go with the--At least you have hair-scenerio-:-)

Middle-aged-ness does NOT doom you to uncoolness. The fact that you BLOG makes you cool. And that you have a cool nickname. And didn't you at one point have a *secret* blog? Even if you didn't {wink, wink} I still think you're cool. Sure, I'm brand spankin' new to your blog, but I know that you go to education week, and, um.....I like your layout/template! See? No worries. Be your own kind of cool.

You are beyond cool, but I know what you mean. It kind of sneaks up on you. Just like I still have a hard time realizing we're not one of the "cute young families" in the ward anymore. . . Plus The Beatles on a road trip says it all.
